If God can create this Jagat, if He can manifest in the form of Jagat, He can assume one or more special forms also. It is not a big deal. That is called avatara. It is not just a belief but an explainable possibility. Rama and Krishna are avataras. Rama was born here, he walked here, he lived here; Krishna was born here, he played here on this Yamuna ghat; this is how Rama and Krishna came down. Thus the avataras are not fictitious.
